The First 5 Years of Daniel Orozco Estudio

May 06, 2026

What began as an idea has evolved into one of the leading names in Mexican interior design. We celebrate the fifth anniversary of Daniel Orozco Estudio.

ABOUT DOE

After the uncertainty of the pandemic in 2021 in Tulum, Daniel Orozco decided to follow his dreams and transform his passion for design and nature into tangible objects. With the vision of creating pieces that resemble works of art while remaining functional and durable, he founded his namesake design and interior studio. His main source of inspiration has always been the jungle and the geometric forms found in nature, which led him to create his signature piece: the totem.

Over time, his distinctive style became a hallmark of the brand. The combination of materials and geometric shapes evolved into hundreds of variations, resulting in furniture and art objects that transform any space—from lamps and armchairs to mirrors and tables. Throughout this growth, the brand has remained committed to its core values: sustainability, fair trade, and job creation.

In that same year (2021), he opened his first store in Tulum, located in Aldea Zama, and in 2023 launched his first showroom in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood. Daniel’s vision has traveled the world, showcasing Mexican design internationally through participation in major design fairs in Miami, Milan, and Mexico City. His work is also available in key global cities such as New York and Paris, and has been featured in hospitality and interior design projects in Punta Cana, Puerto Rico, and the Riviera Maya. He has also collaborated with brands such as COS and Louis Vuitton in Malaysia, Singapore, Romania, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the United States, as well as with ELLE Residences and House of Form to create a special collection.

THE ANNIVERSARY

The first five years of the brand were celebrated with an intimate dinner by El Recio—a Mexican gastronomy restaurant led by Chef Ramsés, with interior design by DOE. Surrounded by friends and family of the brand, as well as media and influencers, Daniel celebrated the growth of his studio. The décor stayed true to its minimalist and neutral aesthetic, inspired by nature through lighting and elements such as fruits and vegetables.

The Menu

The dinner began with an alverjón tlacoyo, tuna belly, and wasabi guacamole, followed by a cucumber salad with pickled pear, homemade chili crunch, and tofu dressing. As a side, grilled asparagus with romesco was served, accompanied by fried chicken, and concluded with a chocolate mousse with cardamom brittle. The evening was paired with cocktails and tequila-based drinks by Don Julio.

Following the multi-course dinner, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and celebration—an unforgettable evening marking this milestone and looking ahead to many more years of success and creativity.
