Located in the SIAN KA'AN natural reserve, this villa is a testament to the harmonious blend of modern design and natural beauty.

Humberto and Antonio sought our expertise to guide them in designing this stunning villa, nestled within the SIAN KA'AN reserve, a paradise filled with turquoise blue waters, sandy hues, and lush greenery. The serene and untouched environment presented a unique opportunity to create a home that respects and enhances its natural surroundings.

A distinctive feature of this project is the development restriction that allows only 30% of the 1000 square meters to be built upon. This ensures the preservation of the area's natural beauty and prevents it from becoming overly commercialized like the beaches of Tulum. This challenge inspired us to maximize the potential of the available space creatively and sustainably.

All construction materials used for this project were native to the region, emphasizing our commitment to local craftsmanship and sustainability. We incorporated sapote wood, Mayan stone, and chukum resin, with a glorious palapa in the common area adding a touch of local charm and authenticity. These materials not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also ensure the durability and integration of the villa with its natural surroundings.

For furniture and interior design, we chose light tones in both wood and upholstery, utilizing materials suitable for a beachfront home. These included solid wood, volcanic stone, nylon weaves, durable Sunbrella textiles, and various marble tones. The exteriors were designed with a focus on durability and style, featuring striped fabric for sun loungers, volcanic stone side tables, and resilient upholstery.

We aimed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the bedrooms with polished concrete in gray tones, linen headboards in neutral shades, and lamps from our FOS collection, combining pink marble with black wood or volcanic stone. The DOE signature is evident in the side tables, both inside and outside, featuring our favorite totems from THE ORIGINAL collection, crafted from travertine marble, Santo Tomas marble, and volcanic stone, adding a distinctive touch to the project.

The common indoor areas are designed for enjoying wonderful evenings with friends, with a dining table that seats over 12 people. The living areas, both exterior and interior, connect seamlessly with a sliding door, offering a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor living. This thoughtful design ensures that every corner of the villa promotes relaxation and a deep connection with the stunning natural environment.
